My first instinct was that the rarest gull would rank high on the ‘most interesting’ scale, but that’s a lister’s instinct – a sort of stamp-collecting bias, at best. And what about lifestyle? The Swallow-tailed Gull aforementioned has that edgy look, with its red eye-liner and eccentric bill.

More curious was the owlet-nightjar, an already obscure group to begin with, but made all the more astonishing by virtue of its flightless and ground living lifestyle. The other New Zealand eagle was also one described from the fossil record, from the collections of the very same Henry Forbes that the harrier was named after.

I found some at Target, some in catalogs, some in antique malls, but why wasn’t anyone creating a lifestyle brand for animal lovers? I hope to do a new one each year so they may be collected by our loyal customers. I noticed that I was able to find neat animal-influenced products in linens, housewares, jewelry, home decor etc.,

We were really excited to get a chance to check out a moose from their holiday collection. The holiday collection toys are limited edition, and something that every pet parent can feel good about giving their dog.
