I got the chance recently to read A Dog’s Purpose , a book that is told from the perspective of a dog! First, I got pulled into the story of a sweet dog named Toby who was rescued by an animal lover who, while good hearted, wasn’t doing things according to the rules.

To the Editor: The euthanasia of more than 1,000 dogs and cats at the main animal shelter in Las Vegas is surely a major tragedy in the sheltering field (news article , Feb. 16), and the rapid spread of diseases at a facility packed with 1,800 animals required swift action to prevent even more suffering and loss of life.

When we left off , the New York Times' Roger Cohen had eaten dog while in China, and wasn't thrilled about it emotionally. Logically, he admits it does make perfect sense to eat dogs if you eat pigs and cows. Because his previous paragraph is: But do pigs have any more or less of a soul than dogs?

When I bought it she hadn't had kibble in a very long time and she'd devour it only to vomit it back up five minutes later. I tried soaking it (I soak the dogs' kibble) but she wouldn't eat it. So for her Ami meal she can have about 10 kibble at a time, over a couple of hours. Also, an update on Emily's 50% vegan (Ami) diet.

The grackles might well be found here anyway as they like the wet habitat in Florida, but as an extra enticement, visitors feed the alligators with hot dogs and there is always a little something left over for a cheeky omnivore. Cats Are Still Public Enemy Number One, For Birds The New York Times and Tweety have it absolutely correct.
