Then, in one of my freshmen science classes, there was a discussion about extinct species, which then lead to the topic of threatened, or endangered species, and what we could do to help out. After several hours of research, my deep appreciation for this wonderful shorebird has not diminished.

Watching birds isn’t much of a challenge if you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting one. In your back yard, if you have a feeder and exclude insects, birds may represent 100% of the animal biomass until either you our your cat walks outside. It made me think that birdwatchers are loafing.

Cats have eight on each side on top, and seven on the bottom. And this is where the latest research related to Archaeopteryx comes in. The new research looks in detail at another fossil, Xiaotingia zhengi , which is not on the bird lineage, being one of those non-birds with bird like traits.
