With the latest news of finding the virus in a cat, here is an update about the H1N1 virus and how it affects your pets. The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) are reminding pet owners monitor their pets’ health closely. Pet pigs may contract swine flu.

Pet sales would be banned altogether, except for the sale of pet fish. All companion animals including dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, rats, chinchillas, guinea pigs, birds, snakes, and lizards would be considered as pets. I can't believe the pet industry would allow such legislation without a fight.

It can spread to other pets however, such as turkeys and pigs. You should also be careful if you have a pet bird as they have sensitive respiratory systems that are susceptible to other human illnesses (such as colds). The ginuea pig cages are small with very little toys same with the rat cages. They also sometimes house rats and Guinea pigs alone wich will cause depression. It's so f *d and all of these little lives are considered "property" please don't buy from the pet store. Each other.

I had a finder bring me a bird he’d correctly ID’d as a merlin – a not-too-common falcon – but when he brought him in, I could see he’d been trying to feed it BIRD SEED!”
