I tend to get angry when I have not seen the number of birds I think I should have and when I am angry I type fast and crazily. Besides, suffering brings birds, right?

I find it astonishing that people argue of whether feral cats are bad for birds in North America. You can make a similar map for the small carnivores, the Mustelids, such as minks, ermines, otters, etc. And for thousands of years the lizards, rodents, and birds of North America adapted to Fishers, Badgers, Wolverines, Ermines, etc.

The very first bird on our list was a Great Horned Owl responding to a screech owl call and, at another site, the Eastern Screech-Owls themselves made a brief whistle then passed over our heads, tiny round shapes against the sky in the gathering daylight. The three main impoundments at Pea Island were packed with birds.

It is hard to pick one single item that stands out in Panatanal, let alone one single bird. Although there are no endemic birds in this area of Brazil, there are soooo many birds (650 residents) and lots of them are restricted range birds.
