I always like seeing turtles (even if I lack the ability to separate Green Turtles from Hawksbill Turtles), and I did see my first tropical cuttlefish, which was pretty awesome. PADI will come to bear on the shop, and the island is becoming more touristy, which should clean things up.

Two hundred metres further, I have a similar situation: a Turtle Dove walking, one sparrow-like bird next to her and something bigger dusting itself in the background. And so, I am sitting in the shade of apple and pear trees as old as I am (I really do not know why I hear comments that those trees are too old to bear fruit!)

It’s almost a bucolic place; sea turtles nest on the beaches, Humpback Whales and bat rays frolic just offshore, and you can buy the freshest fish from the panga fisherman at Punta Lobos every afternoon. They do bear some resemblance to Sage Thrashers , but have a much heavier, more sickle-shaped bill.
