The Red-shouldered Hawks , the quick flapping Accipiters and the legions of blackbirds and ducks moved through the cool airs of March and April but the orioles, grosbeaks, and wood-warblers wouldn’t show up until the trees had their buds and many had their leaves. All the way to Alaska maybe? Where will they go?

But I bet Eddie Shea, who reported the eight Gyrfalcons from Alaska in June of 2010, was pretty pleased to see them. The same count had 15,000,000 Red-winged Blackbirds and 10,000,000 Common Grackles. The same count had 15,000,000 Red-winged Blackbirds and 10,000,000 Common Grackles. Now that would be something!

In Alaska, they were found to mimic 30 different species ( source ). Finally, in my own compound, just a few meters away from my apartment, Chinese Blackbirds are breeding – though without a lockdown, I am spending less time on them this year than last year.
