Well, now it has really fallen apart and they have abandoned it. The header photo is the new Great Bowerbirds ‘ bower and the photos below show the contents. The items gathered vary depending on the location and some Great Bowerbirds appear to be better at stealing than others! The bower in the post 2 years ago.

Burrowing Owls of Cape Coral

You can tell which abandoned lots host owls by a small roped off area with the tell-tale t-bars that the owls perch upon. They seemed content to cluster together starting at each other, or the flock of starlings and Monk Parakeets whirling around. But daytime owls always look miffed about something.

Henslow’s Sparrow at Jacob Riis Park, Queens, New York

By “flushed it” I mean that it popped up about a foot off of the grass and flew about five feet to land into some more grass and scuttled a bit further before settling back down, content that its camouflage would keep it hidden. And, as you can see from the picture at the top of the post, that mostly worked. What a weekend!

And this isn't really my area but I'm willing to take it on (because our quoted price was $500 for the template and $249 for hosting, and that sounds like a lot to me, particularly considering we'd be doing all of the content and updates--not them). In about four months, the entire site of about 30 cats is almost done!
