Instead we turned back and investigated the rock pools along the coast. And while it was initially promising, with a pair of Glossy Black Cockatoos, that was pretty much it for the rest of the day.

The guide covers 477 species, an expansion of 35 from the second edition, which was published in 1991. The AOU has not accepted that split.
