zoos have pandas (Washington DC zoo and Zoo Atlanta). Pandas are my favorite animal. Obviously they normally don’t let visitors close up to animals but it’s my dream to pet a panda just once. How do I convince them to let me pet my favorite animal? I wanna feel their fur.

In 1806, Lewis and Clark saw condors near the Columbia River, which makes up much of the Washington-Oregon border. It is a collaboration of Rogue and the Oregon Zoo , one of a handful of condor breeding facilities in the United States ( review here ). But condors have not been in the Pacific Northwest for more than a century.

Above is a photo Art Drauglis captured of a red-shoulder making off with meat put out for Marabou Storks at the Washington D.C. They embody “opportunity” whether it’s using a new food source or eating bugs. When I worked at a wild bird store, one of my customers had her own Red-shouldered Hawk Feeder.

Grand Central Parkway, Triboro Bridge, Harlem River Drive, George Washington Bridge, Route 4, Route 17, New York State Thruway, Exit 20, Route 212, Route 32, Old King’s Highway, West Camp Road. I was home by 9:30 AM and was back out the door within a half-an-hour to take Desi to the zoo. Downstairs to the car and I was on my way.

The naturalist got out of his car, picked her up, took the tape off her legs, and took her to a local zoo. She was clearly not a young bird and was banded, so once she was warm and fed, I called the Bird Banding Lab in Washington, D.C., One of the animal keepers brought her to me, and I put her in my clinic. to find out her actual age.
