Grey-hooded Kingfisher on a pole, a Broad-billed Roller in a tree, and lots of Grey-headed Sparrows made for pleasant waiting. Resident Red-tailed Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, and Bushbabies are fun to watch but they do throw “stuff” at your cabin. and pre-arranged transport at the landing took me back to Entebbe airport.

Part of the world they wanted to transport was natural. One such individual was Sir George Grey, who liberated many animals on his estate (mercifully on an island), including wildebeest, monkeys, zebras, wallabies, deer, cassowaries, emu and kookaburras. We don’t have monkeys, or wildebeest, or salmon here.

The flowering trees are likely to be visited by Plain Parakeets , Swallow-tailed Hummingbirds and Bananaquits while the lawns are always likely to bring a Rufous-bellied Thrush or a Rufous-collared Sparrow.
