They took dogs to Australia, chickens across the Pacific, rabbits to England, horses to the New World, and then brought potatoes back. Brush-tailed Possums were brought from Australia to help start a fur industry. Rabbits are still an agricultural pest. In many ways, that is exactly what happened.

How ridiculous is it that " On the Psychological Continuum ," to say nothing of an article against rabbit fur, is on the same page as Gabriella's Fur Den? I may have just gotten myself fired from Animal Rights Zone. So this was in my e-mail box this morning. Perhaps there is a filter of some find at work.

According to this Associated Press story, if you are wearing a Sean John jacket with fur trim purchased from Macy's, that trim might have come from a dog indigenous to Asia known as a "raccoon dog." was advertised to online customers as having an "imitation rabbit fur collar."
