Thought experiment

Reddit Animals

In my opinion dogs would be the first to go. Although I love dogs they're too dependent on humans, it's true that stray/feral dogs can form packs and survive in the wild a regular dog like a golden retriever would get eaten by a lion instantly. Cats would be the next. Horses have a good chance.

Animal Person

Here are some of my favorite quotes: " Companion anima l reduces a dog, cat, or other nonhuman to the role of companion. I could go on and on.

Moral Vegetarianism, Part 2 of 13

Animal Ethics

Who Should Not Eat Meat, or What Does a Vegetarian Feed His Dog? Presumably it would include all human beings, whether they are in the habit of eating animals or not. To see this, imagine animal-control officers putting a dog into their vehicle. The dog, let us say, has bitten a child. Human beings can do without meat.

10,000 Birds

He also had tigers, cougars, and some other animals. That was one of his cats. They are invasive species.

Should is not a Solution

10,000 Birds

The way things should be is a very powerful motivating factor in human lives. Dogs should not be used to hunt foxes. It’s all very well to advocate the should that tigers should not be poached from a reserve in India. Perhaps it would be better to move the tigers to that bigger reserve, or maybe a zoo.
