Rabbit Meadows is a rescue group out of Seattle. As the name suggests, they rescue rabbits, but they also rescue other small animals like ferrets, and other small rodents. They are undertaking a great project that sounds like it will be beneficial for both the sanctuary rabbits and the people who love them.

Invasive species in Australia

In Australia we definitely have our fair share of invasive species and the main problem is that we are such a huge land mass with such a small population. The European Rabbit was also introduced for hunting by early settlers and it soon bred and became highly invasive. Feral cat predation on Pied Oystercatcher eggs.

Poop From The Front End Of The Bird

I took home a few of the pellets and found that the owls were feasting on grey squirrels and cottontail rabbits. I showed him the pellet and he felt the feathers were definitely Blue Jay feathers, specifically from the crest, but they did not match the beak in the pellet. He can ID just about anything from a small part or bone.
