I am still tired from the long drive, but it was great to play with the very best toys for birders, to be able to share experiences and to ask the factory staff all sorts of silly questions. At the end of the 20th century (and before the ELs were born), the factory hired consultants to help it restructure and maximise profits.

In my opinion, and I am a vegetarian, the second definition of humane is the MINIMAL that we should expect. However, the factory farm system we have in any country does not lend itself to either of the two criteria. There are probably no happy animals in factory farming (ie. Factory animals are voiceless victims.

I watched Home earlier in the week and you can watch it on YouTube here , though a huge flat screen is definitely preferable. On the animal front, there is definitely a message that factory farming is unsustainable, and that subsistence farming is and was preferable; there is a vague if-we-did-it-differently-it-might-be-sustainable message.

Stephanie's post about " The Compassionate Hypocrite " on Saturday reminded me of what Catherine Friend and other " compassionate carnivores " are doing in addition to twisting the definition of compassionate beyond recognition. Interesting definitions of betray include: 2. It's cruel. A treacherous giving up to an enemy.

There is definitely a problem with gang violence, especially in Fresno. And of course, let's not discuss factory farms down there. Today I came across this strange article from NPR about the area. I've always known that the Central Valley is one of the poorer areas of California. But this article seemed a little over the top to me.

If I was an ornithologist aiming for a grant, I would now definitely highlight the need for more research on this topic. keep in mind that it might just be that some members of the species have taken up jobs at the new Tesla factory – it is indeed only a few kilometers away from the plant of nature lover Elon Musk in Nanhui.

Though factory-style production worsens it, the root problem is animal use. Since using animals is cultural, not part of our biological nature or in any way necessary, animal use is by definition inhumane—unkind where we could as a society choose kind. It is inhumane to humans as well, E.
