Once at home, I looked at Wildfowl by Steve Madge and Hilary Burn, to quickly discover that I was watching the Chiloe Wigeon , indigenous to Chile and Argentina. A Little Stint awaited me there this morning.

Birding Chaco at JV Gonzles – Trip Report

The first views of a Brown Cachalote made up for all of the dust sucking experience. My first heat thumping experience came when I saw the Crested Hornero. Got my second thumping experience with the first views of the Lark-like Bushrunner ! My third crested bird-thumping experience was the Red-crested Cardinal.
