Later it was determined these condors suffered from organophosphate poisoning after they were exposed to insecticides used for agriculture. The cause of this decline is not necessarily poisoning by humans, but this is just a contributing factor. Another sick condor and two dead ones were found nearby.

Why and how do people campaign on behalf of a species that is not their own? The norm of moderate concern for animals - that animals matter albeit less than humans - permits the (ab)use of animals in vivisection, factory farming, bloodsports and other contexts where animals suffer. Sounds interesting.

The meat industry is inherently destructive and inhumane, there is no way to make it otherwise, and much of the harm it does to ecosystems is by inflicting suffering and death on billions of nonhuman animals, farmed and free-living, each year. Many of the LGUs have replied, some of them many times.
