Birding the Rockaways – A Queens County Bird Club Field Trip to Southeastern Queens

We met at the relatively late (for me) hour of 7:30 AM at the parking lot of Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. But it was not the plan to bird Jamaica Bay so we got the carpool set up and headed over the bridge into the Rockaways.
