They took dogs to Australia, chickens across the Pacific, rabbits to England, horses to the New World, and then brought potatoes back. There were no mammals, little game, and not many birds either. The reasons for this perceived lack of birds are threefold. In many ways, that is exactly what happened.

We do have a possum and a raccoon that live somewhere on the property. Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, rabbits. Birds seem to be mostly some kind of common looking grayish speckled yard birds that I don't know what they are. Idk, generic store brand bird lol. but that's pretty much it for mammals.
