The treatment of the animals at the Woodbridge, NJ SeaQuest is horrific. I am posting this here because they had an exhibit of skinny pigs billed as “African naked mole rats.” The skinny pigs had no enclosures. This was the same for many other of the animals there: potbelly pigs, a sad otter, rabbits, chickens and Bengal cats.

Here's an article about an increase in animal experiments at Cardiff University in Wales. According to a Wales on Sunday investigation, the number of animals used at Cardiff has risen by 13 percent since 2006. Tags: universities animal experimentation UK animal research wales cardiff university.

In a brief tour of a particular biotech research company, I was taken to the animal lab. but did experiment on mice and guinea pigs. Interesting that many of the grants this place gets specifically say they can't experiment on any domesticated animals (cats and dogs I guess.). They did not experiment on primates (I asked!),

The feral cats were thought to have arrived as pets during early European settlement and then more were introduced to control rabbits and rodents, but now they inhabit all of Australia including offshore islands and are responsible for a high percentage of native species loss. Feral cat predation on Pied Oystercatcher eggs.

In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a Greyhound female, to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for Animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need. But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits. Link: [link].
