Humane Society Cites Abuses at University of Minnesota

Critter News

I don't care if they're supposedly working for altruistic purposes (they're not, but that's another story), they are allowing animals to suffer through negligent care separate from the excruciating experiments they must still undergo. The improperly euthanized animals remained alive but were discarded as if they were dead.

Why Would a Wild Rabbit Let Humans Pet It?

Reddit Animals

We’re in Minnesota if that helps. My son (m8) and some of his neighborhood friends found a rabbit outside, and apparently it let the kids get close enough that some were able to pet it (I made it very clear to my son that I didn’t want him touching the rabbit). Any thoughts?

How many birds are killed by windmills and other green energy projects?

10,000 Birds

Come@Me: Snowy Owls are Superior in Every Way to Great Gray Owls

10,000 Birds

The white feathers of Snowy Owls allow you to see the blood from their most recent kills still staining their plumage, which is about as metal as any wild animal is likely to get. Their tendency to show up in wide open areas means they are often visible from a long way and their beach-going habits make them ideal for humans to view.
