I rescued 5 puppies and their mom 3 months ago. Three of them found loving homes, but unfortunately, the remaining two were adopted by someone who put them in close proximity to sick dogs, resulting in parvo. The vet recommended a minimum of 5 days of treatment. Hello, Reddit community!

From Alex: “A friend came to me yesterday who had saved a puppy off the street (see photo). Apparently a man who seemed completely unfit was trying to give him away and while she couldn’t keep the dog, she wanted to put him in a better situation. I can’t put him in my home because I already have a dog and a cat.

My 7mo sheepadoodle mini puppy is recovering from being neutered on Monday. The vet suggested hydrogen peroxide washes once it's been a few days but I don't like using that because it can kill some of the healthy cells as well, I've always been told not to put H.P. I feel bad for him. on wounds.

And the morning before the Mkuze pack of Painted Wolves, or African Wild Dogs, had been very close to one of the park’s few Lions, as far as tracking collars had told. We hadn’t been on the road long before a shout went out that a dog had been seen, and we quickly turned back, and there was my first Painted Wolf in Mkuze.

Choosing to adopt a dog rather than get one at the pet store (or what some like to refer to as “puppy mill”) is a beautiful thing—essentially you are saving a poor pup from euthanasia and you’re providing a an animal with a good home. So make sure that you can have animals and that your place is large enough.
