Possibly a vet in the future. I’m thinking of working at an animal shelter/pound/some kind of adoption place but again, I really don’t know if they’d trust a 16 year old with that type of work. I would really like to work with animals in the future. Next year when i’m able to start working, i’d like to work with animals.

Out of the 46 listed dogs we started with Monday 2/5/24 11 received Rescue Holds 5 received Adoption Holds 7 received Foster Holds 18 are being given an extra day 5 were killed for kennel capacity ?The The shelter gained three kennels by killing; ? Rescues cover all supplies and vet expenses! LouisBear ??? It’s a win-win!!

At an NYC puppy shelter a few weeks ago, my mind was just about made up when I met Chester – The cutest Lab puppy I’d ever seen. After talking to the owner of the shelter however, I learned there was more to adopting little Chester, or any pet for that matter, than my love at first bark. Don’t let the dog eat your homework.

However, that doesn’t mean they can’t make great companions for the right adoptive family. Sadly, however, one of the reasons people are hesitant to adopt these dogs is because of the assumption that such dogs are always “damaged goods,&# and can’t be re-trained.
