Soon after, Williams retired and moved out of state, and Eric was arrested by the Texas Rangers for a combination of credit card fraud (something about a fake field school for high schoolers in Orange Walk Town) and child abandonment. We have escaped the clutches of the Bahamas, and are finally back “home” in Tucson, Texas. We also got an extra stop in Dallas, Texas (Hey wasn’t I just here) but again no birds could be added, unless I count the House Sparrow flying around inside the terminal.

After our brief trip thru the great state of Texas, we were headed back into New Mexico, a state I was quite excited to explore. The birds were right next to an old abandoned farm house, and seemed quite happy to have their photo taken, up to a point, but then like the wind, they were gone, out thru the flat desert areas of New Mexico!
