Like he does, say, for the Canyon wren. To humans, birdsong is akin to Joycean language, isn’t it? It’s a good life!

I also spent a week in northwestern Costa Rica on a family vacation, a long weekend in Barbados, a week in Georgia, and two week-plus-long trips to visit relatives in southern California. Let’s get right into it, shall we? Our family trip to Barbados was mostly about the beach but it was also chock full o’birds!

The book roughly follows American Ornithological Society taxonomic order; a version date or number isn’t given, but it’s probably the 2020 version, before the Big Reshuffle of New World Warblers. I’ve missed this information, especially when I travel to Los Angeles to visit my daughter and her family.
