My Ten Best Birds of 2019

Being in a boat, digiscoping a Shoebill in the rain, was one of the best birding experiences I’ve ever had, comparable only to feeding Maria. Most of the Icelandic population winters in the British isles The sightings stopped, but then on 18 February 2019 EY70 137 was observed on Lady’s Island Lake, Wexford, Ireland.
