My eBird 10th Anniversary

According to eBird , I have been an eBirder since December 23, 2009, so today is my 10th eBird anniversary. Birding trips to Florida , New Mexico , and Texas are obvious too. Texas and Florida round out the Top 5. During the decade, I submitted 1,219 checklists and observed 555 bird species, all in the U.S. and Canada.

Counting Feral Muscovy Ducks in Florida

You see, Muscovy Ducks are countable in the American Birding Association area due to wild birds from Central America making their way up into Texas. First of all, I am lucky in that I saw actual wild Muscovy Ducks in Honduras in 2009 , so this is not a decision that matters in terms of my life list.
