Hello all, I came across this on the Human Society website: [link] It appears that the House of Representatives are looking to remove protections for certain animals in this case gray wolves and grizzly bears. We can contact our legislators to express our opposition.

TRAVERSE CITY - State officials say they're not pleased with a federal court's ruling overturning the government's decision to remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list for the Great Lakes region. It's in response to a lawsuit filed by several environmental groups, including The Humane Society of the United States.

… Matthew Anderson [of Audubon] said proponents of colonies are putting the interests of one invasive species — cats — over the hundreds of other native ones that are their prey. The ordinance requires caretakers to “educate” people in their neighborhoods. Cats are domesticated animals that are not indigenous wildlife in North America.

They belong to the canine species Nyctereutes procyonoides. As reported in the AP story, two styles of Sean John jackets—one a hooded snorkel style, the other a classic version—were originally advertised as faux fur, but an investigation by the Humane Society of the United States [ HSUS ] found that the jackets were made from dog fur.
