I choose not to watch videos or bombard myself with images of suffering. When a new video is released on YouTube of abuse at a slaughterhouse (as if it's not all abuse, by the way), I don't watch. I do what I do because it's the right thing to do--not because I want a reward or fear punishment. I know it's out there.

I've been out of every loop I used to be in because my work outside of veganism and animal rights came a-calling in a most critical way. I'll be back blogging regularly as of November 1 and I'm probably going to change how I do things, perhaps adding a section on stories about animals and animal rescue. about the eating of animals.

Carrie-the Sea Snakes have their young-small snakes-at sea, so they are in the sea their whole lives unless they get washed up in a storm and then we try and rescue them. Wicked, right? . @ Renato-yes…plenty of diversity here! They are relatively helpless and immobile on land. Hat-tip to Stella.
