Best Bird of the Year for 2015

This of course raises questions of what happens when all of the inland nesting grounds of all the loons becomes covered with glacial ice during ice ages, then later, the ice melts and the lakes return. Duncan chose a mammal! 2015 was challenging, at best, on a personal level but it was a fantastic year for birds in New York City.
