The eleven largest national wildlife refuges are also in Alaska, including Arctic NWR and Yukon Delta NWR , each more than 19 million acres.

Images of wildlife coated in toxic goo haunted me; particularly the birds. southern border; and set regulations to waive environmental laws for building on public lands. The current administration can now start construction on any of the public lands along the border with no concern for habitats, ecosystems, or wildlife.

When the news broke about a possible border wall through Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge in Texas, I decided to make plans to visit before it got bisected by a concrete barrier.
