One of my most memorable outings was a night-time game drive in Kenya when we saw an aardvark and a zorilla, so we ticked off both the first mammal in the field guideā€™s index, and the last. I viewed them at dusk, through a telescope, from a ridge overlooking the area they were hunting.

There were no mammals, little game, and not many birds either. Secondly, New Zealand had already experienced on wave of extinction due to the introduction or rats and human hunting. Brush-tailed Possums were brought from Australia to help start a fur industry. Part of the world they wanted to transport was natural.

The definition of the word HUNT is “to chase or search for game or other wild animals for the purpose of catching or killing.” ” Obviously the dictionary does not equate hunting with conservation. It is obvious that hunting is NOT conservation. Why is this happening? People don’t respect wildlife.
