The rooms are floating in a pond and the pond provides a home for a Eurasian Beaver family. The animals themselves identified as “civilised” and started a hunger strike in protest. Yes, that’s where I was going – the Oostvaardersplassen – and the hotel has a little bridge straight into the National Park. It was awful.
