NASA Suspends Radiation Experiments

For more than a year, we have worked to block NASA’s planned radiation experiments on live squirrel monkeys. We have just learned that the experiments have been cancelled. NASA had planned to irradiate 30 live squirrel monkeys in a misguided attempt to learn the effects of deep-space radiation.

Another animal experiment I would not support as a US taxpayer. The research project, led by Jack Bergman of McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate in Belmont, Mass., was one of 12 awarded radiobiology research grants through NASA's Human Research Program, the space agency announced October 27.

Our internet research showed that somebody in Pine County had all three ( Black, Brown-capped, and Gray-crowned ) Rosy Finches on the feeders in their garden. We also saw Prairie Dogs , Bison , Mule Deer , Abert’s Squirrel and Coyote. This is a simple grey and black bird but I have always wanted to see one. And now I did.
