They are quite fast and can hide in places predators can't reach like Holes, pieces of debris etc. What do you think?

Winter Wanderland

10,000 Birds

My colleague Doug wrote me an email describing the whereabouts of these “rosy finches” and my wife had to manage my excitement with horse tranquilizer… What a fantastic little birds. Large groups of Hooded Merganser , Redhead , Franklin’s Gull , and other floaters were easily spotted. I flew into Denver from Mexico.

Birding Iceland on the Fly

10,000 Birds

There were three other small groups staying there and after dinner we all drove 40 minutes to the cliffs. The group we were with mentioned that they had seen Minke Whales just off the coast of the fjords the day before, but we missed out on our drive back south. Sadly, I missed out on seeing White-tailed Eagles and Harlequin Ducks.
