Costa Rica being such a small place, one hardly ever seems out of earshot of roads with rumbling trucks and auditory attacking motorcycles, of dogs hell bent on barking into the night, of occasional music being played.

I mention this because all too often people surrender their dogs--or even cats--once they have children. Sky gives her a wide berth when she walks around her, and yes, it's a bummer that Sky is a little afraid of dogs.

India being one of the centers of the ship breaking industry, cutting the hulls apart for scrap recycling, these boats have strange names and even stranger ports of registration.
