Hi, we've had two dogs (Teddy and Brandy) since 2015 who are just the cutest but on a sunny day as per his walking routine in 2018 Ted went off his leash and ran to a small kitten he found in the park who kept crying for her mother and just wouldn't leave her side. Anything as long as it helps me keep my fur babies.

Luckily Billy found a happy ending, sadly many puppy mill dogs aren’t as lucky. Please, if you are getting a puppy or kitten, consider rescuing from a rescue or shelter, or find a very reputable breeder. Sadly too many dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills like this one. Have a tissue or two handy!

It might not be a rainbow bridge incident but just some puppers/kittens fooling around their humans but I can’t go through the thing without welling up. Now when I see a puppy/dog in the streets I try my best to feed them and pet them and I hold my breath when I hear a puppy crying somewhere outside thinking someone might be hurting him.

Half a decade ago, in a little mountain town about 60 miles northeast of San Diego, a feral kitten dragged his front left leg uselessly. The dog-loving owners of the property in Julian where he sought refuge rushed him to the local veterinarian, who informed them that if his leg was amputated, he could live as an indoor cat.

The mascot for this year’s National Justice for Animals Week is Adam, a spunky black cat who was set on fire by two teenage girls in a vicious attack in Santa Rosa, California, as an eight-week-old feral kitten. ALDF is honoring Adam and all those who came to his rescue with a special video profile that will be available on www.aldf.org.
