Mites will eventually kill the bird. Bird brought in by a cat or dog. Even if you do not see an obvious wound, cat or dog saliva, which is full of nasty bacteria, can still get into a bird’s eyes/orifices and will eventually kill the bird; it will just die more slowly and painfully. The vet suggested hydrogen peroxide washes once it's been a few days but I don't like using that because it can kill some of the healthy cells as well, I've always been told not to put H.P. I feel bad for him. Does anyone know anything I can give him that will help? I feel bad for the guy.
