How many parrots talk to each other? I guess most of us fail to consider that we as humans used to ugh and grunt too, and we as babies could only cry so many different ways: why do we seem to fail to apply this logic to animals? How often do we try to give animals a way to talk? Do we do it enough? How many other Koko's are there?

When I read the description of the Mulga Parrot on a pet website, I first thought it was an advertisement for Thai mail-order brides: “The exotic appearance of the Mulga Parrot might be what attracts you first, but it’s their personality that will win you over” ( source ).

Seals can mimic humans, you've heard of Crows and Parrots mimicing human speech but Seals can to, one Harbor seal named Hoover was able to mimic his owners voice and could say stuff like "Get over here!" " Which was similar to what their leader would say for them to get out of the water.

And, Essay #195, “Our Human Values: The Ugly,” describes the standoff between catfish loving Double-crested Cormorants and catfish farmers in the Missouri Valley. I’m not sure if “the Ugly” refers to the cormorant itself or human reaction (catfish farmers are officially allowed to shoot the birds).

Non-human beings have traditionally thought of on a basically immoral level…they lack any intrinsic values, are incapable of thoughts and emotions, and are only worth how good of a coat they make or how good they taste. Granted, there are a lot of terminally-stupid dogs out there… but you know what I’m saying.
