Maybe you saw that popular video recently aswell where a small dog gets killed by coyote and owner takes revenge. Well i have a dog aswell and i am also living in a rural area. I watched that video and as it seems cayote presses the trap at night and gets painless 1 shot in morning. After that he cooks and eats it.

Motomco’s Material Safety Data Sheet for “Hawk” warns that the product “is extremely toxic to fish, birds, and other wildlife” and that “dogs and predatory and scavenging mammals and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten this bait.” Motomco also makes “Jaguar” and “Tomcat,” complete with cat icons, of course.

How big cats hunt, big cats such as tigers, lions, jaguars, leopards and cougars though strong and fast have poor stamina, as ambush predators they'll want a quick kill as to minimize injury, so they'll use their powerful arms to hold prey down and bite them in the neck, quick and easy compared to the canines. •

So as the title says, there are a couple of coyotes in my neighborhood they are not very big but they can be very annoying and scary due to my dog being small and a meal to them. I have a French bulldog who just turned a year old and I’m very scared that they will attack her. What can I do?

This is approximated by the size of the animal, but really, this has to be adjusted for depending on modality of killing. Dogs are similarly dispersed across size ranges, with Foxes, Coyotes, and Wolves taking prey across different parts of the size range. among the Mustilids, and Coyotes and to a lesser extent Foxes.

None of my neighbors have cats and I'm only aware of one dog owner blocks away. I've heard someone saw some coyotes about a year ago but I haven't seen or heard them. And I could even see that being the case even with the lack of consumption as I've known cats that killed for sport but didn't eat the prey.
