Langi Crossing birding part one

There are no trails as such, but you can follow in the cattle tracks along the edge of the river or the gravel tracks used by vehicles. There was a family of Black-necked Storks that was initially a family group, but over recent weeks they have started to feed separately. Australian Pelicans. Little Pied Cormorant.

Birding Culebra, Puerto Rico

But, as I have mentioned, this was not a birding excursion but a beach vacation with the family and friends, so seeing seabirds was not high on the list of priorities when we planned the trip. I constantly tried to turn them into Loggerhead Kingbirds , which are supposed to be present on Culebra but never had any luck.

Birding the Holiday Inn Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica

Over President’s Day weekend my family and I took a much-needed break in Jamaica. Brown Pelican Pelecanus occidentalis. Brown Pelicans were always present and regularly dove for fish, as you can see in the above photo. Seeing as the a resort was focused on the beach and ocean I figured I would do the same.
