In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a Greyhound female, to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for Animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need. Tags: Current Affairs Greyhound Matters. It had been locked in the shed and abandoned.

The movement of the enormous birds' heads is very owl-like. An update that of course thrills me is that Jamaica has decided to not grant permission for the introduction of greyhound racing (read the l etter from Bruce Golding, Jamaica's Prime Minister--it's only two sentence long, but it does the job).

One of Australia’s largest and most magnificent flying birds, this was a real treat for me. The only one I had ever seen before had barely escaped being hit by the Greyhound Bus I had been travelling from Darwin to Perth on a decade previously. This was certainly a more leisurely view!

but a friend who volunteers for a rescue group told me of a greyhound event around the corner from my house. If Violet can be said to love anyone, it's other greyhounds.
