Any California-raised person knows that it just doesn’t rain in California in June. I was raised in between the two cities, and visited that area earlier this month. I had thought that my camera use on two previous neighborhood outings was not enough to demand recharging its battery. I was wrong.

Happy Global Big Day from Costa Rica!

It was organized to boost eBird use, raise funds for bird conservation, and just get more people out birding. As for myself, I won’t be doing a full on Big Day because I already tried one a few weeks ago and need to recharge the Big Day batteries for a lot longer than a month before attempting (going through) that again.
