This is great news for animal rights because it's one more piece of evidence that humans aren't as exceptional as we like to think we are.

While spending hours in the car I've been thinking about various issues related to sentient nonhumans, animal rights and veganism. Imagine if kids in 4-H were taught how to raise dogs for dogfighting (not a perfect analogy, I know). I want humans to stop viewing animals as means to an end of some sort.
