In fact, quite the opposite—my personal story of owning two lovely rescue dogs for several years will make you uncomfortable. My story begins with Biscuit, a German shepherd mix whom I adopted four years ago.

Having grown up with dogs, my natural affinity for man’s best friend has always felt a part of my life as long as I can remember.
