In October 2016 everybody was receiving messages on their mobile phones and also of interest were some people that did not own a telescope or binoculars and just photographed every bird with a massive camera even larger and heavier than many of the telescopes!

Older collections, which often involved putting lots of stuff in boxes and ignoring it while focusing on a few sexy finds, are full of things that have not been looked at carefully.

The Lesser White-fronted Goose is not only rare in Serbia, but also overlooked among numerous Greater White-fronted Geese. There are 29 species listed as Extinct in 2016 for which the year of extinction is estimated as 1940 or later. point to just one problem source, one over-abundant and highly invasive species – Homo sapiens.
