Lovely Cotinga – Once again, the continuing male at Rancho Naturalista was shared with the same group from Buffalo.

Saving the Drowning Cormorant, or the Kerkini Lake, Greece

Asian water buffaloes were brought to Greece by Ottoman Turks centuries ago and by now, they have developed into a separate race, the Greek buffalo, which is protected as an old domestic breed. Out of some 4000 buffaloes still being kept in Greece, about 3000 are at this lake. Then, there was a herd of buffaloes.

By 2015 I was assigned to lead a CBC group for the first time. Our jaunt for the CBC of 2015 turned out to be the first of many, as I have been assigned that area each count since then. Access is restricted, and the livestock referred to are highly temperamental water buffalo.
