Rescued Manatee Gives Birth to Manatee Calf at SeaWorld Orlando

Story background: On June 8, 2012, SeaWorld’s Animal Rescue team traveled to Sykes Creek in Merritt Island, Fla. The adult, weighing nearly 1,380 pounds, was transported by the Rescue Team to SeaWorld Orlando for further evaluation and care. So far in 2012, SeaWorld Orlando has rescued 12 manatees. to rescue a 10-foot manatee.

Now, I had an encounter with one identical on 18th December 2012 and it was in the same area on the same beach and although I have walked the beach hundreds of times since it must surely be the same one!!
