Ndumo Game Reserve lies in the Easternmost part of South Africa, close to the border of Mozambique and Eswatini. It is not particularly big but has a reported 430 bird species including migrants, though during my short stay it seems I missed most of the key attractions among them. They did however show an increased incidence of wounds which the birds were thought to maintain and re-open. Ironically the biggest similarity between the species is their colour (grey). Birds Red-billed Ox-pecker South Africa' The Black Rhino is a browser with a hooked upper lip.

Early starts are the rule when monitoring endagered species in Mkuze Game Reserve, in South Africa, but there’s a particular urgency to this morning’s start. And the two species were not inclined to get on, by which I mean that Lions will kill other large predators including Painted Wolves. Resilience.
