But the ease with which we can tell our stories and post our videos must not render us incapable of moral judgment and decency. Here's my question: What about, say, videos taken inside slaughterhouses? When is violence toward an animal in a video gratuitous? They certainly depict cruelty to animals, right? What do you think?

If you cannot videotape, how about a photo of your group/class/pets club holding up a sign asking for Nosey to be rescued from her daily torment ? I choose not to watch videos or bombard myself with images of suffering. When a new video is released on YouTube of abuse at a slaughterhouse (as if it's not all abuse, by the way), I don't watch. Four lions, rescued by Animal Defenders International (ADI) from a Bolivian circus when the country banned the use of animals in circuses have a new home, and a life of luxury at the ARK 2000 sanctuary in Calaveras County. The ADI rescue operation was backed by Bob Barker. ADI also rescues animals in distress worldwide.
